Shipping
-
What is your normal delivery time? Our production time is “YOUR” production time. St. Louis Tag specializes in delivering short run products in a quick and timely manner. Just let us know if you need a FAST turnaround and we will do our absolute best to accommodate your request…and…..at NO extra charge. On average, since all of our tag products are custom manufactured and made-to-order, typical delivery times range from 10-15 work days upon final artwork approval.
- How do you handle freight charges?St. Louis Tag typically prepays the freight charges and then bills you for the freight on your invoice. Our freight terms are F.O.B., our plant, St. Louis, MO 63143. The vast majority of our shipments are sent via UPS, and our special shipping rates are passed along to you, the Customer. You may also give us your preferred shipper’s billing number and we can ship your job COLLECT, (the freight charges will be billed directly to your account), utilizing the freight company of your choice.
- Do you offer a rush service or partial shipments of a larger order if needed?Yes to both! Rush Service is available, sometimes, at NO extra charge depending upon the particulars of the tag construction and quantity. Call Customer Service to find out for sure if there is any additional charge for a Rush Service. Partial shipments are done at no extra charge except for additional freight fees that might be incurred.
Printing
- What kind of printing process do you use?St. Louis Tag Co. utilizes specialized offset lithography techniques, high-quality letter press and 4 color process printing specially designed for tag converting. This unique type of printing guarantees a higher quality printed image than traditional processes. We have strategic alliances with other printers that can provide 4-color offset printed tags at very competitive prices.
- Do you do two-sided tags?Yes, our printing capabilities include 1 and 2 sides, spot color, close registration, bleeds, screens, and process printing.
- What ink colors are available?St. Louis Tag Co. inventories and uses many STANDARD ink colors at no extra cost to you. Please inquire about added charges for PMS mixes that you might need.
- Can you add sequential numbering to a tag?Yes, we have many customers that use sequential numbering on their tags. We also offer sequential numbering on virtually any tag material. Please inquire regarding number of places and number positioning.
Reinforcements
- What hole sizes do you offer? Most tags use standard 3/16” or 3/8” holes as our metal eyelets and reinforced patches come in these sizes. We can, however, produce custom hole sizes including doorknob and rearview mirror hangers.
- Can I get patches in different colors?Yes you can! We offer patches in brown, white, and manila.
- Do you have mylar reinforcements?Yes! We offer 1/2" clear mylar tape.
Materials
- The tags are exposed to a wet environment. Is there anything I can do about this situation?Too often when people order custom tags, they only think of paper tags. The cost for a plastic tag is only slightly more and they won’t mildew, rip or become illegible in the rain. We can also apply a permanent lamination to one or both sides of a tag for improved durability and "weatherability."
- I need a custom die cut merchandise tag, but I only need 300 of them. Do you do short-run custom tags?Short-run custom tags are our specialty. We can manufacture any custom shaped tag you may need. Our ability to produce a short-run of these custom tags in a very timely manner has kept our customers happy for years.
