This sample forklift tag is used to track repairs and service calls while providing customers with information on what was done and who they can call if they have questions.

Color Coded Tag
This rental company uses this three-color tag to sort returned equipment. Each piece being returned is tagged and sent to inspection. In this area, the white part of the tag is filled out with information regarding the equipment’s meter reading, fuel usage, and whether or not any damage was evident. If damage is evident, the red part of the tag is left on and the equipment is sent to maintenance. If the equipment passes, it is sent back to inventory “Ready to Rent.”
