New Tyvek
Tyvek® hang tags are ideally suited for all types of outdoor and light industrial/commercial applications. Made from DuPont™ Tyvek® 1082D (formerly 1085D) material, Tyvek® tags are light weight and highly tear-resistant. They possess excellent water, mildew, chemical and UV resistance and are known for their durability, versatility and cost-effectiveness.
Colors & Printing
This graphics-grade material offers excellent opacity and is optimized for high-resolution graphics. So, while Tyvek® is only available in white, we can print virtually any graphics you require with durable inks that are both easily readable and fade resistant.
Shapes & Sizes
Like all of our hang tags, we recommend the use of one of our standard 12 sizes with either square, clipped or rounded corners. These sizes minimize waste and maximize value, however, we can produce virtually any size of square, rectangular or circle tags.
Our custom Tyvek® tags can be outfitted with other features to maintain their durability, including reinforced metal eyelets and metal wiring.
While elastic or cotton string is a suitable option for most custom hang tags, we offer several metal wire options for stringing Tyvek® tags, which can be especially helpful when tags are used on outdoor equipment or handled repeatedly. Metal wiring can also be pre-twisted to ensure a secure attachment between the tag and what it is being affixed to. Perforations are another great option for multi-stage uses in operations, rentals and for gas cylinder tags.
Tyvek®’s versatility and durability makes it a perfect material option in a variety of tag purposes, including ready to rent tags, water shut off tags, backflow inspection tags and more.

Customization Options to Create Your Ideal Tag
St. Louis Tag offers multiple ways to customize your tags to meet your specific needs. Explore our primary customization options below.
In addition to the 21 standard colors we offer for our tags, we can create virtually any color by flood coating our white tags. We also offer full-color process printing for creating eye-catching designs with fine details.
Tags are typically punched with either 3/16” or 3/8” holes and can be reinforced with fiber patches and/or metal eyelets for securely attaching tags to items.
We offer several standard string materials, including elastic, mercerized cotton, cotton/poly blend, polished cotton twine and a natural option that is similar to jute. These can either be knotted or looped. For more industrial applications, we offer several different types and gauges of metal wire options.
