New Tyvek
Tyvek® hang tags are ideally suited for all types of outdoor and light industrial/commercial applications. Made from DuPont™ Tyvek® 1082D (formerly 1085D) material, Tyvek® tags are light weight and highly tear-resistant. They possess excellent water, mildew, chemical and UV resistance and are known for their durability, versatility and cost-effectiveness.
Colors & Printing
This graphics-grade material offers excellent opacity and is optimized for high-resolution graphics. So, while Tyvek® is only available in white, we can print virtually any graphics you require with durable inks that are both easily readable and fade resistant.
With our in-house digital printing capabilities, we excel at producing multi-color tags that can truly help improve quality control, streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Shapes & Sizes
Like all of our hang tags, we recommend the use of one of our standard 12 sizes with either square, clipped or rounded corners. These sizes minimize waste and maximize value, however, we can produce virtually any size of square, rectangular or circle tags.
Hole & Reinforcement Options
Due to characteristics of the Tyvek® material and that these hang tags are typically used in more demanding environments for industrial applications, we typically recommend that Tyvek® hang tags be outfitted with both fiber reinforcing patches and metal eyelets.
The most popular size hole is 3/16", but we also stock 3/8" diameter metal eyelets for those that want to attach the tag using a standard padlock. This larger diameter eyelet provides ample room for the tag to be attached to the lock...making it ideal for applications like Lockout-Tagout Tags.
Attachments
While we offer several standard string materials, the fact that Tyvek® hang tags tend to be used for industrial applications in more rugged environments, leads us to outfit them with one of our standard wire stringing options. We offer several gauges of metal wire that are inserted through each tag and pre-twisted before shipment.
For those who opt for the larger eyelet to accommodate a padlock, the tags can be shipped without any attachments.
Perforations
Tyvek® hang tags are often used as equipment rental tags, inspection tags and quality control tags, where portions of the tag can be color coded and then removed to identify the stage in a process in which a piece of equipment or machinery exists.
Adding perforations to a tag can streamline processes and increase efficiency for any items with multi-stage uses in operations.
