Tag Attachments - Wire and String Tags
Our automatic stringing and wiring equipment is designed to accommodate many different types of string and wire as well as a variety of tag stocks, shapes and sizes. We are set up to handle literally millions of your tags, either printed by us, or furnished by you.
Strings
Used for most retail and consumer-oriented applications, string hang tags typically feature our standard cotton-blend string, stretchy elastic strings or more natural, environmentally friendly jute strings.
Wire
Ideal for more rugged, outdoor and industrial applications, wire tags can be created using 21, 23 or 26 gauge, galvanized steel wire. These wires are cut to length and fastened to each tag prior to shipment.
No Attachment
Knowing that some customers prefer to utilize their own attachments (like zip ties, twist ties or security ties), we are happy to supply hang tags that only feature holes - with or without reinforcements.
Other Finishing Services
As a leading tag manufacturer in the Midwest, St. Louis Tag Co. offers reinforcing, wiring and stringing services, such as hand metal eyeletting, hand wiring and hand stringing, which are performed automatically "off-line." You send us your printed sheets or printed tags and we will punch the holes, add the reinforcements, and apply the string or wire. We also offer custom sheet cutting in case you would like to send us your press sheets for us to "finish-cut" your tags.
You supply printed sheets, we return finished tags.
Other Attachment Options
While most of the tags that we produce feature a standard hole with either a string or wire attachment, we can also die cut custom holes or hanging features into tags as shown below.
